Public Association "Open Heart Center”

is a nongovernmental organization, developing and realizing programs and projects focused on building healthy, educated and socially responsible young generation of Kazakhstan.

Open Heart Center unites the best specialists in education, child care, psychology, child rights protection, as well as professionals preventing and fighting against HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis.

Every day we all – teachers, civil rights activists, lawyers, biologists, epidemiologists are working hard to build the healthy and bright future for the rising generation.

Main objectives of Open Heart Center are:

• Popularization of healthy life-style among children and teenagers;
• Helping children from low-income and problem families, as well as children with disabilities;
• Developing and running education programs in ecology and vocational guidance for children and teenagers;
• Educating young people of preventing and fighting against HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis;
• Providing free psychological aid and legal assistance to individuals from risk groups and individuals with socially significant diseases.

Based on the approved strategy for year 2009 - 2011 Open Heart Center has the following priorities:

• Fighting the HIV and tuberculosis epidemic among youth in Kazakhstan;
• Help to children with disabilities, preventing their discrimination from peers;
• Ecological education for children in age 4 – 12.
